Full Administrators can add or delete new digital resources in MackinVIA™.
PLEASE NOTE: You must have an accurate and accessible URL for the title record or your patrons will not be able to access the resource. Remember to make the title Active so it is accessible to your patrons.
To add titles to MackinVIA, first log into your MackinVIA Administrator account (https://www.mackinvia.com/Admin) with your Mackin.com email address and password.
Choose Resources > Add New Resources (make sure you select the correct VIA if there is more than one account).
This will take you to a screen where you can enter all the pertinent information about the new resource. For example, you may want to add a record for an educational website or informational video. Simply enter the pertinent information in the first page and click Save Changes. This will create a record in your account.
You can then click into the other panes to enter Additional Details, Index Terms, Classification information and even upload a Resource Image. The more information you enter, the easier it will be for the resource to be discovered by patrons.
To delete a title from MackinVIA, first log into your MackinVIA Administrator account (https://www.mackinvia.com/Admin) with your Mackin.com email address and password.
Click Resources > All (make sure you select the correct VIA if there is more than one account).
Click the Edit button displayed next to the title you want to delete.
Click the Delete Resource button on the Edit Resource screen. You may delete resources added to the account by administrators. Resources loaded by Mackin cannot be deleted.
