Description:
MackinVIA and TLC’s LS2 PAC catalog can be connected through an API integration. This integration allows students and teachers to view real-time availability for MackinVIA resources and check out, place holds, and return titles directly from the catalog. Additionally, the connection supports user authentication from the catalog into MackinVIA. When users discover a MackinVIA resource in the catalog, the systems perform a handshake to create or update accounts within MackinVIA. This connection is encrypted and passes the patronID, first name, last name, and role (student or teacher) from TLC to MackinVIA. This integration is optional and set up at the request of schools/district.

Description:
If ComicsPlus is purchased by schools or the district, Mackin can set up authentication from MackinVIA into the ComicsPlus platform through Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) SSO. LTI is an encrypted connection that is built to pass first name, last name, user ID, role (student or staff), and email. The user ID passed is a unique ID generated by Mackin. ComicsPlus only requires email or user ID to set up accounts on their end. Schools/districts also have the option to authenticate directly with ComicsPlus.
